The Project.
Everyone knows the old saying: `A picture is worth 1000 words'. This is where we see what those 1000 words actually are.
Roughly once a month, a photograph will be emailed to 4 contributors. These 4 writers will take about two weeks to compose 250-word stories that are inspired by the photo, and email them back. The stories will be then posted as is, here, along with the photo.
Photography for and facilitation courtesy of Stephen; photographs will also be taken on an occasional basis by other contributors, who will be credited, as well as the found photos posted at FOUND magazine. Thanks to Sam for inspiring this project, and Heather for friendly reminders that helped get this blog actually going.

Contributors: Your addition to the project will be confirmed in reply. How often you will receive a photo will depend on how many participants are on our contributor's list. Projects will be distributed as evenly as possible to prevent creative-fall-apart.
SUBMIT!
You've received your photograph, and you ask yourself: What do I do now?
1) Write a 250-word submission inspired by the photograph.
2) Complete submission within a week of receipt of the photograph.
3) Email that submission to 1000wordpicture@gmail.com.
For sanity's sake, please forward your submissions only to this email address. With 4 contributors per photograph, and a potential of 2 or 3 photograph projects ongoing at a time, it can be a organizational challenge keeping track, formatting, and posting the submissions of up to 12 contributors at a time.
Thanks!
